Guyana should be proud of this young man

I am looking for nursing home for my indian Aunt. But when I called the number I was told there were no centers in NY. Then I spoke with someone else he directed me to at the Linden center (because its closser to where I am in NY), then he directed me a place in Flushing. But he said there are no beds in Flushing now for long term stay right now, so I cannot get a tour. I hope they open more centers for the indian community.

Social Justice is a movement by big corporations to destroy society. The short term benefits have been found in the long term to be detrimental to all people.

So, is progressive Hinduism based on Neo-Hinduism, the 200 year old religion of India as started by European universalist ministers, or Sanatana Dharma, the 5000 year old religion of the Vedas? Is it dual or non-dual? Does it view Maya from the Adi Shankara view or the Ramanuja view? These might be trivial questions, but they are actually HUGE. Well, actually, I had my question answered 2 minutes in. Its Neo-Hinduism, not Vedic Hinduism. Non-violence/Ahimsa she mentions at the beginning as the heart of the Hindu faith is not correct. Ahimsa as non-violence is a mis-translation from Gandhi. NOBODY before him every say Ahimsa was non-violence. The word means less violence, but violence is fine. The scriptures validate this. The Bhagavad Gita, 4 Vedas, Ramayana, Mahabharata are full of violence, and violence is encouraged. Gandhi deliberately gave the world a new definition to reach out the west to get their support for his cause, as he wasn't getting the support from within India that he wanted. And, we didn't speak sanskrit, and this sounds good, so we went with it. So, literally you're interviewing a woman who says something is at the heart of a religion, but we can only trace this religious view back a century-ish.

South Indians (especially the Tamil people) practice both bhakti and sanathanam-dharmam forms of hinduism. The reason why many Guyanese look down on "Madrasi" people (which is a disgusting British and North Indian coined slang), is because they don't understand Tamil/South Indian culture. The South Indian culture is based on Dravidian tribal practices that pre-date the days before santhanam-dharmam hinduism even reached India. Tamil is even believed to be the oldest language in the world way older than Sanskrit. The first set of Indians that were brought to Guyana were mainly Tamil and some Telugu speaking people. Because the British could not control them (south Indian rebellion against the white man), they opted to northeast India to bring workers from that region and instigated the sentiment against the "madrasi" people. Thank God for Tamils, they are probably the boldest people of India standing against Hindi and British imperialism.
